Our favourite recipes
You can use Old Walls wine in your favourite recipes. If you need a little help why not try one of our own favourites from the ones below.

Beef Stroganoff
(Serves up to 4 people)
1lb Rump Steak cut into1 inch strips (other cuts maybe used)
8oz Long Grain Rice
2 small Onions (Peeled & sliced)
1 Green Pepper* (Deseeded & sliced) * Optional
4oz Mushrooms (Washed & sliced)
2oz Butter
¼ of a pint of Beef Stock
1 carton of Soured Cream (5 fluid ounces)
1 level teaspoon of Salt
1 rounded teaspoon of Plain Flour
1 rounded teaspoon of Tomato Purée
Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
Seasoning
A bottle or two of Old Walls Wine!
Method
Place beef on a plate and season well.
Melt butter in large saucepan gently fry onions and mushrooms for approximately 4 minutes then add beef frying for a further 5 minutes, lastly stir in remaining flour and gently cook for another 2 minutes.
Stir tomato purée into stock then pour over beef mixture, bring all ingredient to the boil then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile cook rice as directed (usually 12 – 14 mins)
Strain and rinse rice then arrange on a warmed serving dish.
Stir soured cream into beef, pour over rice and sprinkle on chopped parsley
This dish can be served with a green salad and crusty bread and either Old Walls Palace Red or Old Walls White Wine.
