a rich yet mellow wine." Available now at just £6.50.

what foods.
What's
going on - Pruning
After the leaf drop in Autumn the vines are left dormant until
the buds burst in spring, during this dormant period is a
busy time for us as we have to prune the vines, not only to
shape them but more importantly it dictates the crop level
for 2007, so it’s back to work with a vengeance!
We cut away all last years grape bearing canes except 2 near
the crown, these are bent over the wires and fastened to form
a bow.
It’s about this time of year we wonder whose idea it
was to plant a vineyard!!
Weather report
The weather has been a mixture of strong winds, rain and the
occasional dry day!
Whilst out and about why not pop in to our Tea rooms for a
warming drink or soup and a roll. See
our menu here.
Looking
ahead
We are hoping to extend the winery to enable us to store 23,000
bottles from the bumper 2006 harvest and have just applied
for planning consent.
Remember ... Our Old Walls Sparklig Rosé
will be available Summer 2007!
More news next month from us all at the Vineyard.
